Mission Statement

Home Management Resources is a charitable organization of people dedicated to strengthening the family. We provide the practical training and support needed to manage the home and to improve the quality of life experienced as a family. We have a special concern for the needs of the poor, the under-served, the disadvantaged, the lonely and the needy families of our community. At the heart of our instruction and service is a belief in the God-given worth of each individual and the inherent dignity of the family.

Purpose

Our mission flows from our vision that 'strong families make strong communities.' We envision a community where the importance of the family is recognized; where the mental, physical and spiritual well being of the family is promoted; and where healthy families build strong citizens, stable workers and a thriving society. We want to help create this ideal community by offering practical instruction and personal support to individual family members so they can improve the quality of their life together; by offering specialized outreach programs to local schools and centers; by educating social service agencies and the general public about the need for strong families; and by offering Home Management Resources model program to other communities. In our daily interaction with clients, we are guided by our philosophy that experiencing respect engenders self-respect, that knowledge empowers action, and that acceptance and friendship inspire hope, which is the basis of all change.
